[MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Sept. 19, 2005] International Paper recently announced to its North American customers that its entire range of uncoated freesheet papers for imaging, commercial printing, envelopes and forms would be improved to a new standard of whiteness and brightness.

Enhanced with International Paper’s proprietary VIP Technologies™, Accent® Opaque and Williamsburg papers are substantially whiter and considerably brighter. "Accent® Opaque, now in 152 whiteness and 96 brightness, is as bright as or brighter than any other opaque on the market," said Jeff Fox, marketing manager for Printing Papers. "Williamsburg, now in 145 whiteness and 92 brightness, is much brighter than other offset and return postcard papers."

International Paper is also expanding the range of its improved Accent® Opaque papers with a new 100 lb. Smooth Text and Cover and a new warm white shade. The new 100 lb. weight provides the extra heft to complete a wider range of projects, from annual reports to coffee table books. The new warm white shade is softer and more natural than before, which means it’s more versatile. It’s ideal for creating a nostalgic mood or reproducing subtle skin tones with breathtaking accuracy.

"Our enhanced papers make printed text and images more striking than ever," added Fox. Accent® Opaque’s improved formation ensures outstanding printability, resulting in a high-quality look and feel every time. The paper offers the same legendary runnability and opacity customers have always relied on. The improved Williamsburg paper offers a more impressive appearance than common offset papers at a comparable price. That, along with IP’s commitment to service and availability, makes Williamsburg the only offset paper printers need. The new and improved Accent® Opaque and Williamsburg are available at the same market price position.
