Say Good-Bye to File Folder Paper Cuts and Ruined File Folders
The Challenge

Paper file folders are a mainstay in most offices. They’re easily stacked and notes and information can be written on them. The occasional paper cut can be annoying and coffee spills can wreak havoc. When a typical desk spill reaches a file folder, it can both ruin the folder and damage the file’s contents. Switching to expensive plastic file folders isn’t the answer because they don’t stack well and notes cannot be written on them.

The IP Innovation
International Paper developed a new file folder paper that reduces the incidence of paper cuts and resists liquid penetration. Its called CutLess/WaterShed® and file folders using the new paper are now available at office superstores. These file folders significantly reduce the risk of paper cuts because the CutLess® paper is thicker and has a softer edge, yet is stiffer than regular file folder paper. The unique WaterShed® surface assures that liquids bead up
and can be easily wiped clean with a paper towel before penetrating the folder. At the same time, the special formulation allows pen and pencil notes to be written on the folders. These new user friendly folders are available in a variety of colors along with the standard manila.
