Shorewood Celebrates Expansion with Design Center Grand Opening

New York, NY - February 7, 2007 - Shorewood Packaging and Shorewood Display have come together to open the Shorewood Design Center and expand their service offerings for Home Entertainment and Consumer Products companies on the West Coast.  In its new Los Angeles facility, Shorewood has increased its focus on creative services and regional customer support and provides a full spectrum of innovative packaging and retail merchandising solutions.

To showcase its Design Center, the business recently held an open house for nearly 300 customers - including Activision, Disney Music, NBC Universal, Nestle, Paramount, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Studio QED and Universal Music, as well as members of the design community.  Guests celebrated the expansion and toured the new studio-like center, and were impressed with the creative space, high-end equipment, and design and pre-press areas for both packaging and display.

Activision's Senior Production Director, Wade Pottinger said, "The new Shorewood LA facility will provide us with greater strategic planning capabilities and will shorten our prototyping timeframes due to the ability to test on the West Coast directly rather than wait for concepts to arrive from the East."

After attending the opening, Creative Director for Universal Home Video, Adrianna Krikle said, "The Shorewood Open House was a blast!  We had a great time and got to check out all the new capabilities that Shorewood can now locally offer.  The recycled program has got us all excited."

After meeting with customers at the event, Shorewood Packaging's Vice President of West Coast Sales, Dustin Wills said, "With this investment in our new studio, we are letting our customers know that Shorewood Packaging is committed to their business needs.  We are aggressively investing in state-of-the-art technology, equipment and personnel to stay one step ahead of our competition.  We invite our customers and the design community to consider this studio as an offsite office in which they can collaborate with our talented staff on site and be involved in the creative process from conception to completion."
