Shorewood Packaging adds more shimmer to its palette of value-added design and printing effects with the recent addition of MetalFX® Technology. This new technology uses MetalFX Base silver inks with CMYK values in a five-color process to create a full spectrum of vibrant metallics.
"By using MetalFX, we can offer our customers a variety of metallic colors without the expense of multiple metallic spot colors,: said Greg Chup, product development manager for Shorewood Packaging. "This process revolutionizes the way metallic inks are applied to packaging, collateral and other printed materials as well as POP displays."
Shorewood Packaging has the capabilities to use Metal FX silver inks on offset, gravure, flexo and UV printing formats for board and paper, creating sparkling results that help its package, print and display products sand out in retail stores.
"The MetalFX process starts at the design stage with creative interaction between the customer and ShorewoodCreative to determine if the proposed art is appropriate for the MetalFX process," said Chup. "The next step is final implementation of customer-supplied files by Shorewood Digital."
