International Paper provides innovative packaging solutions for companies that manufacture and/or distribute automotive parts and materials. We design and manufacture specialized corrugated packaging that ensures the safe delivery of automotive parts such as axles, engines and side panels.

Automotive parts, which are highly vulnerable to damage during transit and handling, need extra protection.  Through our Ace Packaging Systems arm, we provide unique containers for more than 4,000 automotive components to ensure safe shipment from parts producers to companies that do further component assembly and to automobile assembly lines.

International Paper’s automotive packaging business specializes in “Custom Packs” for engines, transmissions, axles, door panels, body sides and more.  Working on site with customers, we exploit the latest technologies to design superior containers and container management systems. Packaging engineers combine a variety of materials with corrugated to produce a prototype container for each specific component. After the prototype has undergone a series of stringent tests, samples are submitted for the customer’s review.  It is only at the conclusion of this partnership process that the containers are produced and assembled.
