Significant Amendments to the 2003 IP Code of Business Ethics

Effective January 31, 2008, the Company amended and restated its Code of Business Ethics.  Major changes to the 2003 version of the Code include:

  1. Broadening the scope to encompass global anti-corruption treaties, laws and practices and adding a prohibition of commercial bribery.
  2. Specifying Company compliance provisions with anti-money laundering laws and the U.S. Patriot Act.
  3. Reinforcing the Company's commitment to protect the integrity of financial transactions.
  4. Updating the Company's legal and ethical practices with respect to collecting competitive information and protecting trade secrets.
  5. Extending the Company's requirements for ethical business behavior to new global partnerships.
  6. Updating Code provisions with respect to Regulation FD of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, material non-public information and our global violation reporting system.
