Melanie - Enterprise Management Analyst

Employee: Melanie
Graduate of: Louisiana State University
Current Position: Enterprise Management Analyst
Location: Memphis, TN

Bio - In May 2001, I moved to Memphis to begin my internship on the Global Enterprise Management team. My summer at IP was absolutely the best! It really gave me a taste of the real world—of what I would soon experience after graduation. Both the move to a new city and the exposure to a corporate environment made for a great learning experience. I met so many fantastic people—full-time employees at my location as well as other IT interns. The strong social foundation I formed here during the summer had a significant impact on my decision to relocate to Memphis in January.

In my current assignment as part of the Global Enterprise Management (GEM) team, I am working to implement and support enterprise management tools and processes as directed by the obal infrastructure strategy and standards.

I love music…good music can be found somewhere in Memphis at just about any time! I enjoy running, swimming, and reading. Most of all, I love people and great conversation, so just hanging out with friends is always a favorite!

In Summary

Receiving such a warm and friendly welcome when I first entered IP as an intern and a goodbye of well wishes from all when the summer came to an end proved to me that I was in a great place surrounded by wonderful people. An introduction to the enterprise monitoring concept and the efforts of the GEM team filled me with an eagerness and enthusiasm to continue my learning in this area of IT. My manager, in particular, was an exceptional role model and leader from whom I received much help and guidance. For these reasons as well as the awareness of the vast opportunities and potential for growth at IP, I was confident that accepting a full-time position was the right choice for me.
